About the role#
Ruekert & Mielke, Inc. is hiring a Survey Student Intern for our Waukesha office. You will work on field and office-based projects, gaining experience with survey technology while contributing to municipal and private engineering work. This is a full-time, paid internship for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with field data collection using GPS and total stations.
- Help with data processing and entry in Civil3D.
- Support the creation and verification of boundary and topographic maps.
- Maintain and organize survey equipment and field records.
- Aid in performing construction staking for municipal and private projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related program.
- Basic knowledge of survey instruments and GPS technology.
- Comfort working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in team environments.
