About the role#
Ruekert & Mielke, Inc. is hiring a Civil Engineering Student Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Waukesha, Wisconsin. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support the construction and design of local infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Support field inspections for sewer, water, and paving construction projects.
- Use measuring equipment to verify material, line, and grade accuracy.
- Keep accurate records and update project documentation using electronic reporting software.
- Work with contractors, engineers, and municipal staff to help keep projects on schedule.
- Answer questions from the public regarding construction activity.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a civil engineering degree program or a related field.
- Basic math skills for performing measurements and estimations.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
