About the role#
Systems Engineer Co-ops work alongside experienced project teams at RoviSys Building Technologies. You will receive assignments from a lead engineer based on project needs and your specific capabilities.
What you'll do#
- Create instrument lists by reviewing P&ID drawings.
- Compile procurement and submittal documentation for controls and hardware.
- Provide technical support to panel fabrication technicians and inspect completed enclosures.
- Participate in customer design reviews and demonstrations.
- Assemble development systems using project hardware and computers.
- Configure user interface and HMI screens along with DDC, PLC, or DCS control algorithms.
- Draft system documentation using existing templates.
- Install project software and configurations onto site systems.
- Perform point-to-point loop checks, system calibration, and tuning.
- Participate in functional system tests and troubleshoot installation discrepancies.
- Program field modifications and assist with commissioning test plans.
- Develop training documentation and presentations for system operations and maintenance.
What you'll need#
- Full-time student status with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's program in Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- An interest in problem solving and developing technical solutions.

- Location: Aurora, Ohio.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $24 per hour.
- Additional: Travel incentives and per-diem packages are provided for field assignments. This role includes access to training and professional development support.
