About the role#
As a Fall Quality Intern, you will work directly with the QA team to ensure our products meet company and industry standards. This role provides hands-on experience in a food manufacturing environment, covering quality systems, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. You will gain exposure to FDA, USDA, SQF, and BRC requirements while learning root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
What you'll do#
- Learn plant floor operations and identify opportunities for system improvements.
- Perform daily quality checks on raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods.
- Collect and analyze quality metric data.
- Maintain QA documentation, including SOPs and inspection records.
- Conduct environmental monitoring, swabbing, and microbiological sampling.
- Help investigate non-conformances and carry out corrective actions.
- Assist with internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Support the calibration and maintenance of QA equipment.
- Create, train, and test Copilot Agents for food quality and safety tasks.
- Align the SOP program with industry standards.
- Follow all safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of quality systems and laboratory practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous internship or lab experience is a plus.
