    About the role#

    As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will apply your skills to real-world challenges that support the technology and products powering the future of aerospace. You will work within the largest function at Rolls-Royce, focusing on manufacturing technology, product introduction, technical governance, and continuous improvement. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to production, assembly, repair, and external supply chain processes.

    What you'll do#

    • Apply engineering principles to assignments in on-site manufacturing or supply chain management.
    • Work alongside an experienced manufacturing engineer who provides guidance and mentorship.
    • Contribute to projects that solve business needs and impact our products.
    • Gain hands-on experience through daily assignments and collaboration with professionals across the company.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science.
    • A minimum GPA of 3.0.
    • U.S. Citizenship status.
    • A curious and agile approach to work.
    • Willingness to work flexibly and travel between sites if needed.
    • While not required, experience with CAD, blueprint interpretation, or prior manufacturing internships is helpful.

    • Location: Indianapolis, Indiana.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (12 weeks).
    • Employment: Full time.
    • Compensation: Paid position with eligibility for a housing stipend and paid time off.
