About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site at one of our locations in Oconomowoc, West Allis, or Brown Deer, Wisconsin. The role focuses on the application of expressive activities within a psychiatric setting to support patient groups.
What you'll do#
- Develop, plan, and facilitate experiential therapy programming across specialized treatment areas.
- Coordinate and evaluate the effectiveness of these programs.
- Build therapeutic rapport with patient and resident groups while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Complete all required clinical documentation in accordance with Rogers policy.
- Work in partnership with your university to integrate cognitive behavioral therapies or social services into your experience.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a BS or BA degree program, preferably in art, music, dance, recreation, or related therapy fields.
- Ability to complete all Rogers onboarding training coursework before your start date.
- Completion of pre-placement background checks and occupational health clearance.
- Ability to complete formal training in the management of aggressive patients within 60 days of placement.
