About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Dietitian Internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site at our facilities in Oconomowoc, West Allis, or Brown Deer, Wisconsin. You will gain hands-on experience in mental health nutrition while working alongside an interdisciplinary team.
What you'll do#
- Provide group and individual nutrition therapy using the Nutrition Care Process.
- Screen patients to identify nutritional risk through nursing assessments.
- Perform dietitian assessments based on patient risk levels.
- Lead meal and snack outings, grocery store tours, cooking groups, and life-skills sessions.
- Recommend transitional feedings and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine nutrition care plans.
- Provide education on drug and nutrient interactions.
What you'll need#
- A completed bachelor’s degree in Dietetics.
- Current enrollment in a Master’s degree program in Dietetics.
- Ability to pass pre-placement background checks.
- Ability to obtain occupational health clearance.
- Completion of all required onboarding training coursework before your start date.
