About the role#
As an RPA Summer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by working with automation technologies to transform business operations at Rockland Trust. You will partner with experienced developers to design, test, and support digital bots that automate processes and improve accuracy. You will also collaborate with fellow interns on a signature project to analyze a real business challenge and present your findings to Bank leadership.
What you'll do#
- Assist senior developers in designing and building automation workflows using Automation Anywhere.
- Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of automated business processes.
- Test and validate workflows to ensure quality, accuracy, and functionality.
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving bot errors.
- Document automation workflows, technical solutions, and process requirements.
- Map business processes to identify potential automation opportunities.
- Create process documentation, user guides, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Monitor deployed bots to ensure they operate effectively.
- Participate in identifying and escalating automation issues.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field (rising Junior or Senior preferred).
- Basic understanding of programming concepts in C#, VB.NET, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Automation Anywhere.
- Understanding of software development concepts and methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to ask questions, learn new technologies, and contribute ideas.
- Exposure to SQL, relational databases, process improvement, or workflow analysis is a plus.
- Relevant certifications or coursework in Automation Anywhere or UiPath are preferred.
