About the role#
As a Retail Learning & Development Summer Intern at Rockland Trust, you will support the programs that help employees grow and succeed. You will work alongside experienced professionals to create learning experiences and contribute to projects that empower colleagues across the bank. This role provides hands-on experience in training, instructional design, and organizational development.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate and administer retail training and development programs.
- Create, edit, and organize training materials, presentations, and learning resources.
- Prepare materials for instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced training programs.
- Maintain training records, track attendance, and handle reporting.
- Research training topics, industry trends, and learning best practices.
- Support employee onboarding and development initiatives.
- Schedule training sessions, meetings, and learning events.
- Gather feedback from participants and evaluate training effectiveness.
- Support communication efforts related to training programs.
- Assist with special projects involving leadership development and employee engagement.
- Participate in collaborative projects with fellow interns.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Education, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service mindset.
- Creative thinking and an interest in learning technologies.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Curiosity, initiative, and an eagerness to learn.
