About the role#
As a Commercial Credit Administration Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the team that manages and administers commercial lending activities. You will work alongside credit professionals to learn how commercial loans are processed, documented, and supported throughout the lending lifecycle. This role provides exposure to the functions that help businesses grow and thrive within our communities.
What you'll do#
- Assist in organizing, reviewing, and maintaining financial documents related to commercial lending.
- Support the preparation and processing of commercial credit reports and loan documentation.
- Help maintain accurate loan files, records, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in preparing reports and materials for internal meetings and business reviews.
- Conduct research and perform data entry related to commercial credit, lending, and banking operations.
- Support the Credit Administration team with departmental projects and initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members on administrative and lending-related activities.
- Participate in collaborative summer projects with fellow interns to tackle business challenges and present recommendations to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a rising Junior or Senior at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong interest in commercial banking, lending, credit services, or financial operations.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently or collaboratively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Professionalism, initiative, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with team members and business partners.
- Previous internship, work, or academic experience in finance, banking, or accounting is preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in commercial lending or credit analysis is preferred.
