About the role#
As a Data Science Intern on the Brokerage team, you will contribute to the products that form the core of our business. You will work within a multi-functional group, collaborating with teams across product, engineering, and operations to turn data into actionable strategy. This role offers the opportunity to influence our roadmap and improve the trading experience for our users.
What you'll do#
- Partner with a team member on a specific product line to drive business improvements.
- Perform deep-dive analyses to identify growth opportunities.
- Design, plan, implement, and analyze A/B experiments.
- Conduct causal inference analysis to evaluate product changes.
- Define and maintain key performance metrics, building dashboards to monitor them.
- Create data visualizations and narratives to share insights with leadership.
- Lead large-scale analytics projects that inform product strategy.
- Promote a data-informed culture across the organization.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time graduate degree program.
- Expected graduation in Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics.
- Proven expertise in data science with a background in statistical analysis and machine learning.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
- Ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
- Previous experience in financial technology is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based in Menlo Park, California.
- Work modality is hybrid, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.
