About the role#
Join the NextGen Summer 2027 Internship Program to gain hands-on experience with active construction project teams. You will work alongside Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents to see how projects move from plans to real-world execution. This role provides exposure to both project management and field operations.
What you'll do#
- Support project teams with daily coordination, documentation, and project controls.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, drawings, and schedules.
- Participate in project meetings and track commitments.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and material vendors.
- Walk job sites to observe progress, quality, safety, logistics, and trade coordination.
- Assist with punch lists, inspections, and project closeout activities.
- Gain exposure to estimating, procurement, buyout, and project cost management.
- Track project milestones and material deliveries.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on a special group project.
- Build familiarity with RNGD technology and internal processes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Science, Architecture, or a related field.
- Strong interest in construction and project management.
- Communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Curiosity, dependability, and a willingness to learn in office and field environments.
- Initiative to ask questions and own assigned responsibilities.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Exposure to Procore, Bluebeam, or scheduling software is a plus.
