About the role#
This is a 7-week paid training program designed to teach you the fundamentals of the casino industry. You will attend Dealer School to gain the skills needed to become a certified dealer. The program starts September 21, 2026, and runs Monday through Friday, 10AM to 2PM. Students who pass a final audition receive certification from CCAC. Graduates may be offered part-time positions with potential for full-time work as they learn additional games.
What you'll do#
- Attend all training sessions held at CCAC Community College and Rivers Casino.
- Learn to deal games while following company policies and gaming regulations.
- Resolve disputes or issues that arise during gameplay.
- Manage currency exchanges and bets according to house rules.
- Provide helpful and positive service to all guests.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a PA Gaming License.
- Strong communication skills in English to interact with trainers and classmates.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform tasks like bending, reaching, and pushing or pulling up to 10 pounds.
- Manual dexterity to handle cards, chips, and other small objects.
- A well-groomed appearance.
