Table Games Student

About the role#

This 7-week paid training program provides the fundamentals of the casino industry and prepares students to become certified dealers. The program runs for 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Students who successfully pass a final audition receive certification from CCAC as professional dealers. This is a part-time opportunity with potential for future full-time roles.

What you'll do#

• Attend all Dealer School training sessions held at CCAC Community College and at Rivers Casino.
• Develop proficient skills in dealing games while ensuring strict adherence to company policies, procedures, and gaming regulations.
• Acquire the ability to handle and resolve disputes or issues during gameplay.
• Gain expertise in exchanging currency and accurately managing bets per house rules.
• Present a positive approach to guest service.
• Perform physical tasks including prolonged standing, bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching.
• Utilize manual and digital dexterity to manipulate cards, gaming chips, and small objects.

What you'll need#

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a PA Gaming License.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with trainers and classmates.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with classmates and work well as a team.
• Maintain a well-groomed appearance.
