About the role#
This is a paid internship based at the Ripken Experience in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. You will assist with operations during spring events, working directly with the Event Coordinator and front office staff. The term runs from February 2027 through May 2027.
What you'll do#
- Help prepare for tournaments and softball spring training by managing rosters, welcome packets, and paperwork.
- Act as a tournament official, which includes announcing games, operating scoreboards, and knowing the rules.
- Support coaches as a customer service representative by answering tournament questions.
- Assist with grounds crew tasks like field work and keeping water coolers filled.
- Handle cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, stocking restrooms, cleaning windows, and picking up trash.
- Support the Food and Beverage and Retail teams by assisting with cashier duties, grilling, and restocking retail floors.
- Maintain professionalism while interacting with participants and staff to help meet event goals.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in a related field.
- Proficiency with computer programs, specifically Excel and Word.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn as part of a team.
- Availability to work long hours, including weekends, based on the needs of the business.
