About the role#
This internship provides software support for new and existing products. You will focus on embedded software creation, end-user libraries, and reference code. You will work directly with engineers to assist with testing, debugging, and documentation. This is a paid, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to firmware for products and parts.
- Build libraries used by students for programming.
- Create example programs for teaching purposes.
- Program demo and prototype robots.
- Assist with product testing, evaluation, and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Engineering, Computer Science, or Engineering Technology.
- Experience with C, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience using various IDEs like VS Code, Jet Brains, or Android Studio.
- Ability to follow directions and work independently.
- Effective time management skills and a flexible schedule.
- Two years of experience with a FIRST Robotics team or similar program is preferred.
- Experience with LabVIEW, C++, and collaborative development using Git or GitHub is a plus.
- Customer service experience is desirable.

- This role is based on-site in Carrollton, Texas.
- The internship follows a rolling term.
