About the role#
The Legal Intern joins the Enterprise Risk Management team at REV Federal Credit Union. You will support the Legal Department by managing administrative tasks and assisting with various legal functions. This role involves working closely with internal and external counsel as well as leadership across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Provide legal support to Legal Counsel regarding strategic, operational, governance, and litigation matters.
- Research statutes, case law, and regulations to resolve routine legal questions.
- Investigate facts related to compliance, internal investigations, and risk minimization.
- Support the Vendor Management Program by performing due diligence and maintaining vendor documentation.
- Draft and update disclosures, notices, forms, and agreements.
- Monitor changes to state and federal laws that impact credit union operations.
- Inform stakeholders about policy changes and report summaries of your legal research.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree and current enrollment as a rising 2L or 3L at an ABA accredited law school.
- Experience with legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Ability to write clear reports, procedures, and policies.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills for solving complex problems.
- Experience collaborating with leadership and negotiating with vendors or management.

- Location: Summerville, South Carolina.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
