About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in branch operations. You will learn the daily functions of a branch, the Republic Way sales and customer service approach, and receive leadership training. The program is designed to bridge the gap between your college coursework and a potential long-term career path with the company. You will work on-site and participate in an accelerated version of the Assistant Branch Manager Program.
What you'll do#
- Assist with loan origination, processing, closings, and fundings.
- Allocate files for document preparation, audit closed files, and prepare files for funding.
- Complete compliance training and become licensed to sell voluntary insurance products.
- Work on continuous improvement projects related to branch operations.
- Spend time with the Branch Manager and Regional Vice President to understand career paths and leadership responsibilities.
- Attend regional meetings or workshops to learn about the broader organization and corporate roles.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or Senior standing in a Business, Finance, or related degree program.
- Ability to work at least 18-20 hours per week.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A reliable, enthusiastic approach and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and meet standards for criminal and credit history.
- Eligibility to meet requirements for state insurance licensing.
