About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in branch operations within the financial services industry. You will learn the daily functions of a branch, gain exposure to the broader organization, and explore potential career paths. The program is designed to build on your academic foundation while introducing you to the company's sales and customer service approach.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily loan origination, processing, closings, and funding tasks.
- Audit closed files and prepare documentation for funding.
- Complete compliance training and become licensed to sell voluntary insurance products.
- Participate in an accelerated version of the Assistant Branch Manager Program.
- Contribute to branch operations continuous improvement projects.
- Spend time with the Branch Manager and Regional Vice President to learn about their responsibilities and career paths.
- Attend regional meetings and workshops to understand the larger operations division.
- Learn about corporate roles that value a branch background, such as audit, compliance, training, and recruiting.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or Senior status in college pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Availability to work at least 18 to 20 hours per week.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A reliable, enthusiastic approach and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and meet standards for criminal and credit history checks.
- Ability to meet eligibility requirements for insurance licensing.
