About the role#
Republic Finance is hiring interns for our Branch Operations program. This role provides hands-on experience in the daily functions of a branch. You will work alongside team members and leaders to gain insight into the broader organization and explore potential career paths. We aim to help you build upon your academic studies while introducing you to the long-term opportunities available within our company.
What you'll do#
- Learn the Republic Way sales and customer service approach.
- Complete an accelerated version of the Assistant Branch Manager Program.
- Become licensed to sell voluntary insurance products.
- Assist with loan origination, processing, closings, and fundings.
- Allocate files for document preparation, audit closed files, and prepare files for funding.
- Participate in branch operations continuous improvement projects.
- Spend time with your Manager and Regional Vice President to understand promotional paths.
- Attend regional meetings and workshops.
- Learn about corporate roles, such as audit, compliance, training, and recruiting, where branch experience is valued.
- Complete required compliance and leadership training.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior or Senior standing in college.
- Major in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Ability to work a minimum of 18-20 hours per week.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A reliable, enthusiastic approach and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to meet eligibility requirements for insurance licensing.
- Ability to meet company standards for criminal background and credit history.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

- Location: Grenada, Mississippi.
- Work Modality: 100% on-site.
- Compensation: $15.00 per hour.
- Term: Rolling.
- Employment Type: Part-time (with the potential for full-time employment post-graduation).
