About the role#
Republic Finance is hiring a Branch Operations Intern to work on-site in Bartlett, Tennessee. This program introduces you to the daily functions of a branch and the broader organization. You will gain hands-on experience in consumer lending while learning about career paths within the company. This is a paid, part-time position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside the branch team to learn day-to-day operations and the Republic Way sales and customer service approach.
- Assist with loan origination, processing, closings, and fundings.
- Handle file allocation for document preparation, audit closed files, and prepare files for funding.
- Complete compliance training and pursue insurance licensing to sell voluntary insurance products.
- Participate in leadership training and spend time with managers and regional vice presidents to understand their responsibilities.
- Contribute to branch operations continuous improvement projects involving other departments.
- Attend regional meetings or workshops when available.
- Explore corporate career paths in areas like Audit, Compliance, Training, and Recruiting.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a junior or senior in college.
- Major in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Availability to work at least 18 to 20 hours per week.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Enthusiasm, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to meet standards for criminal and credit history.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Eligibility for insurance licensing based on a state-conducted criminal background check.
