About the role#
This Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op position applies industrial and manufacturing engineering principles to our production processes. You will work to improve labor, material, and equipment efficiency while maintaining high quality standards. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Florence, Kentucky.
What you'll do#
- Provide daily support on the shop floor to solve production problems.
- Identify and carry out projects focused on productivity and cost reduction.
- Create and update job work instructions for new and existing equipment.
- Develop process documentation to support ISO 9000 certification.
- Communicate company goals and objectives to the workforce.
- Investigate and justify capital equipment needs.
- Attend communication meetings and follow safety and ethics programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited technical school or college.
- Pursuing a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
