About the role#
The Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op will apply industrial and manufacturing engineering principles to production processes. The goal of this role is to maximize quality and productivity across labor, materials, and equipment. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Florence, Kentucky.
What you'll do#
- Provide daily shop floor support for problem-solving activities.
- Identify and implement productivity and cost-reduction projects within assigned areas.
- Develop and maintain process documentation to support ISO 9000 certification.
- Create job work instructions for existing and incoming equipment.
- Communicate company goals, objectives, and philosophies to the workforce.
- Investigate and justify capital equipment needs.
- Adhere to safety, ethics, and environmental compliance programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited technical school or college.
- Preferred majors include Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact well with others.
