About the role#
The Application Team Co-Op provides mechanical and electrical design support for new and existing components. You will translate high-level design concepts into detailed drawings and specifications. This role offers hands-on experience and coaching to help you learn motor design principles and applications.
What you'll do#
- Perform testing to support customer requests and inquiries.
- Support manufacturing design or process change requests.
- Use and interpret analytical and test equipment.
- Participate in development projects by executing design and documentation.
- Lead design change investigations.
- Collaborate with mechanical design teams to create test plans.
- Manage the 3-D printer, including loading files, maintaining the machine, and handling parts.
- Support documentation for layout drawings, detail drawings, assembly drawings, Bills of Materials, Engineering Change Orders, and design records.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a relevant engineering field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Basic 3D modeling knowledge in SolidWorks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to create action plans and prioritize time effectively.
- Self-directed work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Advanced relationship and team building skills.
