About the role#
REDLattice is hiring students for a Cybersecurity Internship focused on software development for the summer of 2027. You will join a team to build tools that support real customer requirements and mission impact. You will work on full stack applications and integrate software components into production-ready cybersecurity tools.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop full stack web applications by working with a small software team.
- Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Integrate software components into mature cybersecurity tools.
- Work alongside cross-functional engineering teams, including those focused on low-level systems, embedded software, and hardware.
- Participate in code reviews, version control workflows, and CI/CD processes.
- Follow secure coding practices to meet mission requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree program. Rising juniors or seniors are preferred.
- Proficiency in at least one of these languages: C, C++, Python, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Git and modern software engineering practices.
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
- A strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Experience with full stack development, including modern front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
- Backend experience using Python, Node.js, or Java.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Experience using AI tools for code development, testing, and improvement.
- Exposure to reverse engineering or vulnerability research environments.
- Interest in offensive cyber techniques and tools.
