About the role#
REDLattice is seeking students for a Summer 2027 Cybersecurity Internship focused on Offensive Cyber Operations and Mobile Vulnerability Research. You will work on real projects that support customer requirements and mission impact. Throughout the summer, you will develop Computer Network Operations tools and capabilities while researching device instrumentation and exploit mitigations. You will work alongside researchers who provide mentorship and guidance on your projects.
What you'll do#
- Solve security problems through vulnerability research and software development.
- Conduct reverse engineering, vulnerability analysis, and exploit development for mobile and embedded systems.
- Develop offensive cybersecurity tools and methodologies, working either independently or in small teams.
- Perform low-level system and operating system research.
- Contribute to new projects and support existing codebases.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and Assembly languages.
- Experience or coursework in reverse engineering using tools like Ghidra, Binary Ninja, or IDA Pro.
- Eligibility to receive a US Security Clearance.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Familiarity with Git and software engineering practices.
- Basic knowledge of mobile security, embedded systems, and network protocols.
- Experience with vulnerability research on the Apple iOS platform.
- Experience using AI tools to assist in reverse engineering and vulnerability identification.
- Rising junior or senior status is preferred.
