Relationship Manager Intern, Business Markets

About the role#

As a Relationship Manager Intern in Business Markets, you will support a portfolio of small business clients as they start, manage, and grow their enterprises. You will serve as an ambassador to the local business market, focusing on external marketing, client acquisition, and delivering tailored financial advice. You will collaborate with other advisors and specialists to provide a cohesive experience for clients.

What you'll do#

• Acquire, grow, and deepen client relationships by delivering value-added financial advice.
• Proactively contact clients to gather insights, understand their needs, and ensure ongoing satisfaction.
• Plan and prioritize market activities to identify opportunities and connect clients with the right internal partners.
• Manage risk and exercise due diligence in all banking procedures, developing action plans to address potential concerns.
• Champion digital enablement by advocating for mobile and online banking applications.
• Visit clients on-site to gain a thorough understanding of their business objectives and operations.

What you'll need#

• Strong skills in business development, client acquisition, and prospecting, including building professional networks.
• A proven track record in exceptional client relationship management.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of credit principles, including risk assessment, financial analysis, and credit structuring.
• A solid understanding of a broad array of business and personal financial products.
• Preferred academic background in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Marketing.
