Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking Intern

About the role#

As a Relationship Manager, Commercial Banking Intern, you will focus on delivering tailored financial advice and solutions to clients. You will utilize sales-enabling tools to prospect and plan client engagement while developing strategies to grow revenue and deepen relationships. This role requires flexibility to work across the greater market, including Hamilton, Halton, Brantford, and Niagara.

What you'll do#

• Deliver value-added financial advice and solutions tailored to individual client needs.
• Leverage sales-enabling tools for effective prospecting, sales planning, and pre-call preparation.
• Develop and execute a needs-based sales strategy to grow revenue and deepen client relationships.
• Maintain a high standard of client loyalty through a continuous-improvement approach to the client experience.

What you'll need#

• A post-secondary diploma or degree in commerce, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in commercial lending and previous banking experience in a relationship management role is preferred.
• Demonstrated success in business development, including client acquisition, prospecting, and cold calling.
• Proficiency in financial statement reviews and computer modeling.
• Experience with emerging communication and digital banking technologies.
