Banking Advisor Intern

About the role#

As a Banking Advisor Intern, you will serve as an ambassador for the branch, focusing on client-centered sales and problem-solving. You will assist clients with their everyday banking, credit, and investment needs, while collaborating with partners to help clients achieve their financial goals. This role involves maximizing client interactions through education, digital demonstration, and proactive relationship management.

What you'll do#

• Proactively engage with clients in the branch and community to uncover banking needs and identify referral opportunities.
• Focus on client education, leveraging technology to demonstrate digital banking tools and services.
• Respond to client-initiated contact and assist with a full range of financial transactions.
• Actively listen to clients to understand their individual needs and resolve banking problems.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to support business opportunities.

What you'll need#

• Mutual Funds accreditation, such as the Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course.
• A demonstrated passion for client service and experience in a target-driven sales environment.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Digital literacy across various devices, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
• Flexibility, an eagerness to learn, and strong personal ethics.
• Availability to work all open business hours.
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
