Relationship Manager Intern, Business Markets

About the role#

As a Relationship Manager Intern, you will act as an ambassador to the local business market, providing financial advice to high-value small business clients. You will support clients as they start, manage, and grow their enterprises by developing new business and deepening existing relationships. This role involves partnering with other advisors and specialists to deliver a comprehensive client experience.

What you'll do#

• Acquire and grow client relationships by delivering tailored financial advice.
• Proactively contact clients to gather insights, understand their changing needs, and ensure satisfaction.
• Plan and prioritize market activities, identifying opportunities to introduce clients to RBC partners.
• Manage risk by exercising due diligence in all banking procedures and developing action plans to address concerns.
• Champion digital enablement by advocating for RBC mobile and online applications.
• Visit clients on-site to gain a thorough understanding of their business objectives and operations.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a program related to Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
• Strong business development, client acquisition, and prospecting skills, including the ability to build a network within the local business community.
• A proven track record in exceptional client relationship management.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Knowledge of credit risk assessments, financial analysis, and credit structuring.
• Understanding of a broad array of business and personal financial products and services.
