Relationship Manager Intern, Business Market

About the role#

As a Relationship Manager Intern in the Business Market, you will provide financial advice and manage a portfolio of high-value small business clients. You will act as an ambassador for the bank, focusing on external marketing, client acquisition, and deepening existing relationships. Upon successful completion of the training program, you may be placed anywhere on South Vancouver Island based on business needs.

What you'll do#

• Acquire, grow, and deepen client relationships by delivering tailored financial advice.
• Proactively contact clients to gather insights, understand their needs, and ensure ongoing satisfaction.
• Plan and prioritize market activities, identifying opportunities to introduce clients to bank partners.
• Champion digital enablement by advocating for mobile and online banking applications.
• Visit clients on-site to gain a thorough understanding of their business objectives and operations.
• Manage risk and exercise due diligence in all banking procedures.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
• Proven business development and client acquisition skills, including prospecting and building community influence.
• Demonstrated experience in client relationship management.
• Experience with business lending, credit skills, and knowledge of risk assessment and financial analysis.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
