About the role#
As a Relationship Manager Commercial Markets Intern, you will work in a proactive, face-to-face client relationship role within the RBC Commercial Banking platform. This 28-week program is based in a Commercial Centre and includes a dedicated mentor to support your training. You will gain experience in accounts, operating services, credit, lending, and deposits through a combination of on-the-job training, self-study, and classroom instruction.
What you'll do#
- Deliver tailored financial advice and solutions to commercial business clients.
- Utilize sales planning, prospecting, and pre-call planning tools to drive business.
- Develop and execute needs-based sales strategies to grow revenue and strengthen client relationships.
- Apply a continuous-improvement mindset to ensure a superior client experience and high standards of loyalty.
What you'll need#
- A post-secondary diploma or degree.
- Proven success in sales, including meeting or exceeding targets in prospecting and new client acquisition.
- Experience with financial statement review, computer modeling, and analysis.
- Proficiency with emerging communication tools, including web-based meetings, social media, digital banking, and mobile applications.
- A strong sales orientation with a passion for fulfilling client needs.
- Preferred skills include strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a commitment to continuous learning.
