About the role#
The Group Advantage Consultant Intern focuses on delivering retirement savings products, including Group RRSPs, Deferred Profit Sharing Plans, and Group Tax Free Savings Accounts, to commercial and corporate clients. This role requires mobility to work within the Bay of Fundy and South Shore Markets, with flexibility for occasional evening or weekend work. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Focus 60% of your time on lead generation and 40% on sales activation for Group Retirement Savings and Financial Wellness programs.
- Identify referral opportunities for Mortgage Assistance and Capital Loan Programs.
- Champion the RBC Group Advantage value proposition to partners and the external market.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior managers across Canadian Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management.
- Enable activities that result in the acquisition of new Group Advantage Sponsors.
What you'll need#
- Strong prospecting, networking, and business development skills.
- Excellent relationship-building skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience creating a referral network.
- Designation as a Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), or a willingness to complete the RPA designation within 18 months of the start date.
- Excellent presentation, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
