About the role#
As a Banking Advisor Intern, you will serve as an ambassador for the organization, focusing on client-centered service and problem solving. You will assist clients with their everyday banking, credit, and investment needs while collaborating with internal partners to help clients reach their financial goals. This role is a full-time, paid position designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional banking environment.
What you'll do#
- Proactively engage with clients in the branch and the community to uncover banking needs and identify referral opportunities.
- Provide advice and assistance with a full range of financial transactions.
- Resolve and prevent client banking problems by taking proactive ownership of issues.
- Demonstrate digital banking tools to clients to enhance their experience and drive satisfaction.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partners to maximize business opportunities.
- Focus on client education and active listening to better understand individual financial requirements.
What you'll need#
- Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course).
- Demonstrated passion for putting clients first and success in a target-driven sales environment.
- Strong personal ethics and the ability to build effective professional relationships.
- Digital literacy across various devices, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- Availability to work all open business hours.
- Enrollment in or completion of programs related to Finance or Business Administration.
