About the role#
RBC Group Advantage provides retirement savings products, including Group RRSPs, Deferred Profit Sharing Plans, Group Tax Free Savings Accounts, and Defined Contribution Pension Plans. As a Group Advantage Consultant Intern, you will focus on delivering these retirement savings solutions and financial wellness advice to commercial and corporate clients. This is a mobile role that requires travel to connect with clients in Moncton, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island.
What you'll do#
- Anchor clients to Group Retirement Savings and Financial Wellness programs, with a focus on lead generation and sales activation.
- Identify referral opportunities for Mortgage Assistance and Capital Loan Programs.
- Champion the RBC Group Advantage value proposition with partners and in the external market.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior managers across Canadian Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management.
- Enable activities that result in the acquisition of new Group Advantage Sponsors.
- Maintain flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as required.
What you'll need#
- Strong prospecting, networking, and business development skills.
- Excellent relationship building skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Independent, entrepreneurial, and self-management skills to achieve planned goals.
- Experience creating a referral network and an existing network of centres of influence.
- Designation as a Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), or a willingness to complete the RPA designation within 18 months of the start date.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
- Locations include Sussex, New Brunswick, and Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
- The role requires mobility to travel between markets.
