Financial Advisor Intern

About the role#

As a Financial Advisor Intern, you will focus on attracting, nurturing, and growing relationships with high-value personal and small business clients. You will provide proactive advice to help clients achieve their goals during key life events, contributing to strong sales and client retention.

What you'll do#

• Communicate with clients to understand their needs and help them achieve their financial goals.
• Provide professional advice regarding complex credit and investment needs for both personal and business accounts.
• Collaborate with market-leading professionals in financial planning and business banking to deliver customized advice.
• Leverage technology to enhance the client experience, drive sales, and improve retention.
• Take ownership of resolving and preventing client banking issues.
• Educate clients on RBC products, services, and digital banking tools.
• Implement relationship-building strategies to support new client acquisition within the local community.

What you'll need#

• Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
• Completed Certificate in Financial Services Advice.
• 2-3 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry, specifically handling credit and investments.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Strong digital literacy across a broad range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
• Preferred background in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
