About the role#
As a Financial Advisor Intern, you will attract, nurture, and grow relationships with high-value personal and small business clients. You will provide proactive, professional advice and collaborate with internal partners to help clients achieve their financial goals. This role requires a balance of expertise across everyday banking, investments, and credit to meet complex client needs.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships through effective contact strategies and empathy.
- Uncover client needs to deliver client-centric advice and resolve concerns at the first point of contact.
- Provide professional education regarding complex credit and investment solutions.
- Collaborate with professionals in financial planning, retirement planning, mortgages, and business banking.
- Champion digital enablement by educating clients on self-serving solutions and technology.
- Use technology to connect with clients both virtually and face-to-face.
What you'll need#
- Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).
- Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation.
- 2-3 years of proven sales experience in the financial services industry.
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain client relationships.
- Digital literacy across a broad range of devices including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- Preferred: Second language skills and an active local professional network.
