About the role#
As a Client Advisor Intern, you will act as an RBC Ambassador within our branches. This role focuses on putting clients first by identifying their individual needs and providing tailored solutions. You will champion the brand, support new client acquisition, and deepen existing relationships while gaining experience that prepares you for future roles such as Account Manager or Banking Advisor.
What you'll do#
- Proactively engage with clients in the branch to deliver an outstanding service experience.
- Complete transactions and identify opportunities for advice, digital enablement, and partner introductions.
- Focus on client education and demonstration by leveraging technology to deliver memorable experiences.
- Contribute to team goals by spotting opportunities to offer advice or introduce clients to RBC partners.
- Take ownership of resolving and preventing client banking problems.
- Cultivate relationships with internal partners to work as one team.
- Manage risks by adhering to compliance routines, processes, and controls.
What you'll need#
- A goal-oriented mindset with a passion for prioritizing client needs.
- Strong drive, self-motivation, excellent communication skills, and emotional intelligence.
- Digital literacy across a broad range of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
- Personal flexibility to work flex hours.
- An eagerness to learn, determination to succeed, and the ability to learn financial concepts.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- A track record in building rapport within the financial, service, or retail industry is an asset.
- Mutual Funds accreditation is considered an asset.
