Banking Advisor Intern

About the role#

As a Banking Advisor Intern, you will serve as an ambassador for the bank, focusing on client-centered service and problem-solving. You will assist clients with their everyday banking, credit, and investment needs while collaborating with internal partners to help clients reach their financial goals. This role involves proactive engagement, client education, and the delivery of meaningful experiences to drive satisfaction and loyalty.

What you'll do#

• Proactively engage with clients in the branch and community to uncover banking needs and provide advice.
• Focus on client education, leveraging technology to demonstrate digital banking tools.
• Respond to client-initiated contact and assist with a full range of financial transactions.
• Actively listen to clients to understand their individual needs and identify referral opportunities.
• Take ownership of resolving and preventing client banking problems.
• Cultivate relationships with partners to maximize business opportunities.

What you'll need#

• Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course).
• Demonstrated passion for putting clients first and success in a target-driven sales environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
• Digital literacy across various devices, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
• Flexibility, a strong personal work ethic, and an eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work all open business hours.
• Preferred background in Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
