Banking Advisor Intern

About the role#

This position serves as a resource for the Annapolis Valley, with the successful candidate potentially posted in any branch within that region. As an ambassador, you will assist clients with their everyday banking, credit, and investment needs while collaborating with partners to help clients achieve their financial goals.

What you'll do#

• Proactively engage with clients in the branch and the community to identify banking needs and referral opportunities.
• Focus on client education and digital demonstration to improve the customer experience and retain business.
• Respond to client-initiated contact and assist with a full range of financial transactions.
• Actively listen to clients to understand their individual needs and take ownership of resolving banking problems.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to maximize business opportunities.

What you'll need#

• Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course).
• Completed Certificate in Financial Services Advice (Personal Financial Service Advice and Financial Planning I).
• A goal-oriented mindset with a demonstrated passion for prioritizing client needs.
• Strong digital literacy across devices including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
• A proven track record of building rapport and maintaining client relationships within the financial or service industry.
• Currently pursuing or holding a background in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
