Banking Advisor Intern

About the role#

This Banking Advisor Intern position focuses on utilizing client-focused sales expertise and problem-solving skills to manage daily client interactions. You will assist clients with everyday banking, credit, and investment needs while representing the bank as an ambassador. This role involves collaborating with internal partners to help clients achieve their financial goals and ensuring a high standard of service.

What you'll do#

• Proactively engage with clients throughout the branch and community to uncover banking needs and identify sales or referral opportunities.
• Focus on client education and demonstration, using technology to drive sales and improve the client experience.
• Respond to client-initiated contact and assist with a full range of financial transactions.
• Actively listen to clients to understand their individual needs and build strong relationships.
• Take ownership of resolving and preventing client banking issues.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with partners to maximize business opportunities.

What you'll need#

• Mutual Funds accreditation, such as Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course.
• Demonstrated passion for prioritizing client needs and a track record of success in a target-driven sales environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to build effective professional relationships.
• Digital literacy across various devices, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
• Flexibility, a willingness to learn, and strong personal ethics.
• Availability to work all open business hours.
