Banking Advisor Intern

About the role#

As a Banking Advisor Intern, you will serve as an ambassador for the bank, focusing on client-centered service and problem-solving. This role involves assisting clients with their everyday banking, credit, and investment needs while collaborating with partners to help clients achieve their financial goals. You must be mobile and available to work at branch locations in both Saint John and Quispamsis.

What you'll do#

• Proactively engage with clients in the branch and community to uncover banking needs and provide advice.
• Assist clients with financial transactions and respond to client-initiated inquiries.
• Focus on client education by leveraging technology to improve the banking experience.
• Take ownership of resolving and preventing client banking problems.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to identify business opportunities and referrals.

What you'll need#

• Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course).
• Demonstrated passion for prioritizing client needs and experience in a target-driven sales environment.
• Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Digital literacy across various devices, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
• Flexibility, a strong work ethic, and an eagerness to learn.
• Availability to work all open business hours.
