Banking Advisor Intern

About the role#

As a Banking Advisor Intern, you will serve as a client-focused representative, assisting with everyday banking, credit, and investment needs. This role requires a combination of sales expertise and problem-solving skills to provide meaningful client experiences and drive loyalty. You will work in a full-time capacity to help clients achieve their financial goals while collaborating with internal partners.

What you'll do#

• Proactively engage with clients in the branch and community to uncover banking needs and provide financial advice.
• Identify and act on sales and referral opportunities.
• Respond to client-initiated contact and assist with a full range of financial transactions.
• Educate clients on digital banking tools and technology to improve their experience.
• Take ownership of resolving and preventing client banking problems.
• Maintain strong relationships with partners to maximize business opportunities.

What you'll need#

• Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course).
• A demonstrated passion for prioritizing client needs and success in a target-driven sales environment.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships.
• Digital literacy across various devices, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
• Flexibility, a strong work ethic, and an eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work all open business hours.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Marketing.
