Banking Advisor Intern

About the role#

As a Banking Advisor Intern, you will focus on client-centered service, helping individuals with their everyday banking, credit, and investment needs. You will serve as an ambassador for the branch, providing guidance and identifying opportunities to support clients in achieving their financial goals.

What you'll do#

• Proactively engage with clients both within the branch and in the community to identify banking needs and provide advice.
• Focus on client education and technology demonstrations to improve the banking experience.
• Respond to client-initiated inquiries and assist with a full range of financial transactions.
• Actively listen to clients to understand their individual needs and resolve banking problems.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to manage business opportunities and referrals.

What you'll need#

• Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or the Canadian Securities Course).
• Demonstrated passion for client service and success in a target-driven sales environment.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills with the ability to build professional relationships.
• Flexibility, a willingness to learn, and strong personal ethics.
• Digital literacy across various devices including smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
• Fluency in both English and French.
• Availability to work all open business hours.
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Communications, Human Resources, or Marketing.
