About the role#
This is a four-month paid summer co-op position within the Wealth Management division at RBC Phillips, Hager & North Investment Counsel Inc. The role provides exposure to portfolio maintenance and administration for high net worth clients.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Investment Counsellor with daily portfolio maintenance and administrative tasks.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve client inquiries and administrative issues.
- Ensure all trades are processed with accuracy and on a timely basis.
- Manage the account opening process and maintain necessary documentation.
- Maintain client records and files.
- Proactively assist with the management of client appointments and meetings.
- Attend client meetings as required and support cross-business working relationships.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university degree program, with a focus on Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to perform effectively under high-pressure environments.
- Current enrollment in or completion of CSC or CPH/CFA courses is considered an asset.
- Eligibility to return to school after the work term or a requirement for this work term to graduate.
