About the role#
As an R&D Co-Op, you will work with engineers and technical leaders to solve real-world challenges. This six-month position begins in Fall 2027. You will gain hands-on experience with automation, software development, sensing technologies, and product innovation. You will receive mentorship, collaborate across teams, and share your work with leadership.
What you'll do#
- Develop and improve automated tools using Python and scripting.
- Assist with project management, process development, and data analysis.
- Design and implement product licensing and generation systems.
- Analyze technical data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Evaluate sensing technologies and support product development initiatives.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to solve technical challenges.
- Research emerging technologies and explore potential applications for future products.
- Share project findings and recommendations with key stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- Expected graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
- Curiosity and a motivation to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Interest in engineering, product development, automation, or applied research.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience with or interest in Python programming and automation.
- Familiarity with data analysis, scripting, or engineering design projects.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Preferred: Experience with databases, software development, research labs, or product development projects.
- Preferred: Demonstrated leadership through internships, research, student organizations, or design teams.
