About the role#
Radiant is hiring a Software Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. You will join our team in El Segundo to help build tools for our portable nuclear microreactor projects. This is a full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Build tooling to support various simulation software packages.
- Work on internal software products that assist with simulation and the analysis of results.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a BS or MS in Software Engineering, Controls Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages like Python, C++, or C#.
- Basic knowledge of software development practices and Git.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Interest in simulation tools or software testing.
- Familiarity with distributed software development and common design patterns is helpful.
- An interest in physics, hardware, or electrical engineering.

Radiant produces portable nuclear microreactors. The company is based in El Segundo, California and employs between 51 and 200 people. It was founded in 2020. The firm is currently developing a 1 MW failsafe microreactor known as Kaleidos.
