About the role#
Raba Kistner is hiring an Engineering Student Intern to join our team in McAllen or Brownsville, Texas. This is a paid, full-time internship position with a rolling term. You will work under supervision to support our geotechnical engineering projects.
What you'll do#
- Prepare boring logs and input laboratory test data and field logs into gINT software.
- Submit OneCall information to coordinate field activities.
- Edit geotechnical reports and proposals.
- Perform field logging and standard geotechnical laboratory testing.
- Generate Boring Location Maps and Generalized Subsurface Profiles.
- Convert logs into WinCore format and crosscheck laboratory test results.
- Maintain safe work practices and follow company safety programs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- A valid state-issued driver license and the ability to meet company auto insurability requirements.
- Knowledge of Civil engineering fundamentals and geotechnical soil mechanics laboratory test methods.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel to various jobsites and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and follow safety procedures on construction sites.
