Field Engineering Intern

About the role#

R.T. Moore is seeking a Field Engineering Intern to support construction projects in Tampa, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to gain professional experience by working alongside Field Engineers, Project Managers, and Field Superintendents. Interns are assigned to specific projects based on business needs and receive mentorship throughout the program.

What you'll do#

• Support Field Engineers, Project Managers, and Field Superintendents with daily project requirements.
• Assist with project layout using Trimble knowledge.
• Interpret engineering drawings and provide onsite assistance.
• Perform material take-offs and estimating tasks.
• Review project drawings and coordinate design changes.
• Assist with project coordination and safety initiatives.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a 4-year Engineering or Construction Management program.
• Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to solve problems independently.
• Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
