About the role#
R.D. Offutt Farms and Syngenta are partnering to offer a hands-on internship for students pursuing a career in agriculture. This role provides exposure to the vertically integrated potato industry, ranging from seed production to processing. Interns will work alongside industry experts and university faculty to gain experience in crop development and field problem solving.
What you'll do#
- Assist with crop development, including insect, weed, and disease scouting.
- Perform soil and petiole sampling.
- Complete an individual agronomy project and present findings to leadership.
- Access training resources through Syngenta and participate in professional development.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members.
- Maintain a clean work area and care for all tools and equipment.
- Follow all safety rules, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain a professional image when interacting with customers and the community.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an approved agriculture program.
- Ability to maintain an acceptable GPA and attendance record.
- Strong computer skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to assemble and perform maintenance on equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must have valid work authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

- Compensation: $16 - $19 per hour.
