About the role#
The Project Management Intern supports the Project Manager and project team throughout the development and execution phases of infrastructure projects. This role provides exposure to engineering coordination, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction activities. Interns contribute to real-world projects while gaining experience in project management processes and tools.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the coordination of engineering, estimating, procurement, and construction activities.
- Support the development of project schedules and track progress.
- Participate in value engineering and constructability reviews.
- Prepare subcontractor and vendor documentation under supervision.
- Assist with safety-related documentation and reporting.
- Contribute to monthly project review reports and financial tracking.
- Support document management, including RFI submittals.
- Assist with procurement tasks such as purchase orders and subcontract packages.
- Monitor design, procurement, and construction progress.
- Participate in project close-out activities and lessons learned sessions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with familiarity in project management tools preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
